When you gaze into the abyss, the abyss also gazes back at you. — The Other Shore of Good and Evil
This concise passage freed me from long-standing inner turmoil; after being lost in confusion for a long time, I suddenly felt enlightened. Since childhood I have experienced some things; in the future, when I have come to terms with them, perhaps I will talk about them. They have driven me into an endless cycle.
When you continually fixate on something, it keeps affecting your inner state. Over time it becomes a habit: if you ignore the discomfort all over, when you pay attention you fear that something might happen, plunging you into endless inner turmoil.
Let go of those things that fuel your inner turmoil; besides bringing pain, they bring nothing. No one is indispensable to anyone; except for physical pain that directly strikes at the heart, the rest are avoidable.
Break free from it, and grant yourself redemption…
The road ahead is long.
