My school is relatively close to home, about an hour by rail transit, so I go home every week. But last week Beilun suddenly experienced an outbreak; at first I didn't pay much attention, but that night the lockdown was implemented. By the time I posted this diary, there were already 159 mild positive cases.

I can say that Ningbo's local epidemic prevention response was indeed very timely. In under 24 hours, my phone began receiving messages one after another, with calls and texts from the Epidemic Prevention Office, the street offices, the communities, etc., asking for detailed information.

Later the school informed us to quarantine immediately; that day was the evening of the 15th at 9:00 PM. We turned off the lights and power at 22:30, thinking packing everything in an hour and a half wouldn't be enough, and we also needed to shower, so we hurriedly organized.
Because this is the first quarantine in three years of the outbreak, I was a bit at a loss, and I had all sorts of negative fantasies about the quarantine room—imagining a dorm that has been unused for ages, mosquitoes everywhere, seven days of solitary isolation in a single room with no one to talk to, and so on... When I arrived, I found the environment was actually quite good; it was just smaller in size.
Fortunately, when I arrived at the isolation room I ran into a high school classmate. In our senior year we lived on the same floor. We didn't really know each other, but we were familiar with each other; both worried about boredom, so we ended up living together, and the environment was nice, so the quarantine period was fairly comfortable.
I didn't take many photos, but for me the environment is actually excellent. (A bit messy, because I moved in very late, and I was in a rush to drop things.)

My parents in Beilun were affected by the outbreak; all work stopped, all companies paused, so we could chat every day. But what I worry about most is their meals during the outbreak, afraid that during quarantine they might not be able to get food. Later mom said the government had everything prepared, food distributed every two days, which looks pretty good, thanks to the government! And mom and others had also heard rumors in advance and stocked a fridge full of food, so there would be no worry about eating, which put my mind at ease!

Currently the outbreak has stabilized quite a bit; now it’s mostly found at quarantine points. I hope the outbreak ends soon... I really want to go home...
