There are several typhoons in Ningbo every year; it has become routine. If there were no typhoons, some might find it a bit strange. This September, two typhoons arrived. The first was 'Xuanlanuo'; the current one is 'Meihua'.

The second typhoon 'Meihua' is indeed somewhat fierce; the school's interior is flooded, the machine rooms in the two dormitory buildings have flooded and the network is cut. As a result, Ningbo's primary, junior high, and high schools have all suspended classes; universities have mostly switched to online. It's quite humane; otherwise they'd have to wade through puddles to attend class.
