One day during the big break, a sharp-eyed roommate suddenly asked, “Huh? Come take a look, is this a jellyfish?” We gathered around and found that it really was a jellyfish, quite a rarity, so we quickly cobbled together a simple improvised tool to lift it and keep it.
The gear was very simple—just a plastic bottle and a branch. We were very careful to scoop up just one.

We were very excited at the time; the description of the Peach Blossom Jellyfish said it was relatively rare, and only places with very good water quality would have such a jellyfish. In truth, the water quality in our school's lotus pond was quite crappy, so we were also very puzzled that such a jellyfish could exist.
Seeing this on the hot search directly brought back my high school memories, very beautiful. Teachers in high school often said, “After graduation you will miss high school.” Now in my sophomore year, I have the answer in my heart: I would indeed miss high school. I miss the tight and busy time in high school, but I certainly wouldn’t want to go through daily problem-solving again from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.~
By the way, I still don’t know to this day whether this really is a Peach Blossom Jellyfish; if any expert here can help answer this three-year-old question, haha.
Health Code Inspector
Yesterday I was assigned to stand at the entrance of a supermarket to check others' health codes, because the epidemic in Zhejiang has worsened recently and Yiwu has had an outbreak.

Then this task fell to me; I thought it would be a lazy job—the health code has been online for nearly three years, and everyone should cooperate well—I was very happy to get to slack off. But I was yelled at by an older woman (many years older), and I was numb.
Interestingly, younger people generally proactively show their health codes and wear masks, but older people (50 and above) are usually not very willing to cooperate, and sometimes even retort in their local dialect: “Damn, you guys are so annoying, always scanning, scanning.” Speaking in a local dialect, which made me a bit embarrassed, and I had to explain the recent outbreak and the concept of universal precautions to them.
There is one memorable elder sister who said, “This is so annoying, everywhere you wear a mask. Look at those inside the mall—how many of them are wearing masks? If you’re so capable, arrest them all and make them wear masks. All you’re doing is stopping people outside—what kind of skill is that?” Her words left me speechless; indeed, many people go into malls and immediately take off their masks, and it’s hard to manage everyone, so I stayed silent…
In the end I still enjoy life in the shop, so please don’t assign me as an inspector again, after all being suspended and unable to push back isn’t pleasant. If it weren’t for work, I would definitely push back hard, but since this is official business and the company sent me, I still need to watch my image.
