Last year as a freshman, the dorm I lived in housed six people. This year it finally changed to four people, with beds on top and desks underneath; the dorm space really became much larger.
When I first arrived, the dorm was very empty; I took photos of my bed. I was the earliest to arrive; the four-person dorm follows a first-come, first-served rule and does not accept reservations. And my home isn't far from the school, so I arrived relatively early.

After about half a day, the result was still fairly comfortable. First I put up a bed curtain; I am quite afraid of cockroaches, spiders, and insects. Sealing the bed on all corners with a curtain gave me a much greater sense of security, sob sob...

Right now it's like this; many items are still not organized, and I am placing orders.
I plan to install LED light tubes, because at night it's really too dark, and then install a desk light-blocking cloth (worried about turning on the lights at night affecting classmates). There is ample space on both sides; I prepared wall-mounted storage boxes.
The power strip has only one three-hole and one two-hole outlet; I prepared three Bull-brand three-way adapters and three two-way adapters, and I'll tidy the wires with cable organizers to keep them from becoming a mess.
I plan to wallpaper all visible areas with smoky gray wallpaper; all current wallpaper was installed by the previous student; it's already a bit old and not very usable, so I'll do it myself.
It should be done in about two weeks, slowly making updates!
